Business lessons from Yoda
“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” Yoda
When we use the word “try” we unconsciously we give ourselves permission to fail. If you decide to take action, then really do it. Invest your time and resources into making it happen.
– “Always pass on what you have learned.” Yoda
Great business leaders focus on the future. They build their experience, knowledge and wisdom into others (aka you Luke Skywalker). What knowledge can you share to become a leader in your industry?
– “Wars do not make one great.” Yoda
Know your competition but there’s no need to fight with them for customers. Show your customers how you provide a unique solution to their needs. You don’t need to belittle your competitor if you believe in your own offering.
– “I can’t believe it.” Luke, “That is why you fail.” Yoda
Your self belief determines your success. Do you know your value? Do you believe in yourselft? Believe you can and obstacles will become mere speed-bumps. You won’t see progress until you’ve sold yourself on your own idea first.
– “Already know you that which you need.” Yoda
Look inside. You know what the right thing to do is.
– Control, control, you must learn control!
Don’t change tactics just because your competitor is. Take control of your business and think about your strategy.
– Patience you must have, my young padawan.
To build a business that matters, you need to have patience. Steady wins the race. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
